Happy 1st Birthday Jean-Pierre!!!
I first photographed Jean-Pierre when he was just 4 months old. It was winter and cold. I had all the heaters going full blast to make sure he would be warm and happy. You can go back and see that post HERE.
This time was really special because both sets of grandparents had come along for the photo session.
Jean-Pierre is a serious little man who was not so convinced by this aunty with the big black camera. On that note I'm sure children would be a whole lot less afraid of the camera if it was multi-coloured and bright!
I just love the above photo of him. It makes me want to hug and kiss him all over!
We then moved outside for some fun in an old suitcase. He started off very serious but Mom performed some amazing antics behind me and got some smiles and little giggles out of him. I actually don't know what Mom was doing behind me but based on the sounds she was making and all the flapping and jumping I could hear I wish I'd had a camera pointed at her too!
After a tea break and a little rest it was time for cuddles and laughs with Mom and Dad.
I baked him his very own blue birthday cake that he was free to smash and play with but he was not so sure about this idea. He stuck his finger in, looked up at his mommy and promptly burst into tears. With some encouragement from mom he ventured a little further and got so involved in sucking the icing off his finger he totally forgot about the cake!
