Laura Emily | Newborn Photo Session

I just loved this session. This beautiful little girl slept so well for us. Her parents are wonderful, calm parents. I so enjoy it when clients have thought about their session and come with ideas and things that are special to them.

Her mum is creative and really wonderful to work with. She brought along two beautiful flowers to use. I love how the photographs turned out.

The series of photographs I took with little Laura Emaily on her mum's absolutely stunning wedding dress are some of my favourite photographs to date. I think every little girl should have a photograph with her mum's wedding dress.

This photograph is not as easy as it looks. As soon as you touch a baby's feet even while they are sleeping, they move them and pretty wildly sometimes.

Welcome Cyrus | Newborn Photo Session

I looooooove newborn shoots. They are a lot of work but so worth it once the photographs are all done.

Meet little Cyrus at just 10 days old.

Sometimes it can take up to an hour before I even get to take my first photograph. Babies love to wriggle and a little soft wrap can help them settle down to a nice deep sleep.

Once they are settled they often let you bring their little legs right up under their chins. Notice his little toes just peeking out under his chin.

This is such a cute hat knitted by my best friend's mom. I tried to crochet one (my knitting is rather rudimentary) but it was more of a frustration than a success.

He was not to thrilled with the other poses that follow on after the one above so we moved on to something he was more comfortable with.

This one below is my favourite.

Cocklin Family Photo Session

I really enjoy the Cocklin Family. I get to see little Isla every four months for her Watch Me Grow series and now I got to meet the whole family all the way from the grandparents down to the newest member of the family who was only a few weeks old at the time.

We had to work in relays because my little studio was seriously overcrowded with everyone squeezed into it but we had fun and got some really cutie pie photographs.

As a professional photographer sometimes one tends to think that all our photographs are perfect but the truth is they are not. Sometimes it is not really our 'fault' and other times we do take terrible photographs. This one is one my favourite imperfect photographs. I smile every single time I see it.
The three moms look lovely, all smiles and composed but look closely at the girls. The little newborn was howling, the three year old had found one of my daughters very noisy toys and was no longer interested in photographs and the almost one year old was more interested in what her cousin was up to.
All in all a perfectly imperfect photograph worth keeping!

Nellyane | 9 day old newborn photo session

Welcome precious Nellyane.

What a beautiful family and not just on the outside. They are kind and loving and just altogether nice people. It was a pleasure and an honour to photograph their little 9 day old baby girl with the rest of the family. Here are some of my favourite photographs.

My absolute favourite!

This little poppet was so flexible that her little toes were up on her chin at one point. I made sure she still had blood flow to her feet and she happily slept all curled up for ages.
