Pedro | Newborn Photo Session

This beautiful couple came all the way from Angola to have their baby and I had the privilege of photographing both their gorgeous maternity session and they really very cute son's newborn session.

They asked that the maternity photographs remain private so I cannot share those with you. I feel that maternity photographs are very personal so if a client does not want to share them I fully respect that.

Little Pedro slept for most of his session. He woke part way through for a good feed and then dropped back to sleep again so I was able to take loads of really cute photographs and I got to use lots of the little hats I've crocheted.

Julian | Newborn Photo Session

This precious little man put my soothing and rocking to sleep skills to the test. He just did not want to sleep but along with his very calm mom we managed to get him off to sleep for a little while. I really enjoyed his newborn session. Here are some of my favourite photographs from the morning...

Nothando - Terrific Toddler!

Oh boy, is this little toddler the cutest evert! She arrived still in her pajamas and dressing gown and wasn't quite prepared to change. She also decided that she needed to put on her backpack. My philosophy with small children is to just go with the flow. So we went with the flow and this is the result...

 I set up a nice little scene with a cot and some dollies which you would expect most little girls to just love. Well she decided that this was not to her liking and this is what followed...

 Out goes one dolly.

 Out goes the next dolly.

In goes toddler in pajamas, dressing gown and backback.

Now that is so much better!

Next I set up a scene with pearls and necklaces and other things little girls just can't resist.

That went well for a few moments but she had her heart set on the cot so back it came!

Please note how well those pearls suit dad!

I brought out a little Kiwi from New Zealand that cheeps when you press it's belly. Photographs cannot really capture her reaction. She had absolutely no idea what to make of it.

We headed on outside for some photographs under the trees on my cute chair with a really girly, pink raffia umbrella. However our model was having none of that. She had spotted the sandpit and absolutely nothing was going to get her out of there. So we picked up our props and joined her in the sandpit!

Henro | 7 weeks new!

The little guy is so handsome. His wonderful parents came all the way from Karasburg for his photo session and it is really an honour to be their chosen photographer. 
This little guy was fast asleep when he arrived and woke as we got ready to photograph him. He was quite chilled and enjoyed his session and then promptly went to sleep once we were done! He did look straight into the camera and gave us some wonderful photos.

 Isn't this just the most precious little face?

I love this series with Henro's little feet. The last one was a request from his Dad. It's great when the Dads get so involved.
